Andrew's full-length drama, The Second Weekend in September, will receive a staged reading at City Lights Theatre in San Jose, CA, Tuesday, August 5, at 8 pm. $5 at the door.
What happens between David and Michael the second weekend in September has to be enough to last all year.
In this enthralling new play, David, who is “out and proud,” explores his identity over a twenty-five year period. During this time, he shares an annual clandestine meeting with Michael, a closeted married man, in a Seattle hotel room.
It's a powerful look at the men's shared struggles, set against the backdrop of society's changing attitudes.
It's Murder, Mary! Andrew and Patricia's third collaboration was quite a hit! Its world premiere was part of the 2007/08 season of the New Conservatory Theater in San Francisco
